you will need to think about a few things:
1) where to place the sensor? likely inside the tires;
2) where to mount the sensor? it can be mounted on the rim (typically OEM systems) or on the valve (aftermarket systems);
3) how to transmit the data? likely wirelessly, via close-proximaty RF;
4) how to power the sensor? likely via battery. it is also possible to power it via RF - that's a million-dollar advice.
once you have the four questions answered, you have solved 90% of the design issues.
the market for aftermarket TPMS is huge and you can be a billionaire if you can make a good aftermarket system there. |
